After debating between the FA 77 and sigma 70mm, I chose the Sigma and am quite pleased with initial results. These are not the greatest from a composition perspective but they do show some of the capabilities of the lens in regular shooting.

Great shots! Good lens ain't it, I chose the same lens to be not only macro, but an all around small tele wit features!

I have never used the fa77 but my early results show quite impressive, IMHO, bokeh. Of course the DOF is not as shallow, but from what I have been able to gather, the sigma 70 is a bit sharper. Here is a macro example...
