Windows in time
Posted By: JMR, 03-24-2009, 11:00 AM

A scan from an image taken in Nova Scotia a few years ago. I noticed I could apply a shimmer to the greyness of the wood to accentuate the nostalgic feel of the rustic shed.

Just added a second shot of swans, which I know is bit over the top, but I was so excited when I saw what this feature could do. Besides, a series is better than single photos. BTW, the swans were shot at slow speeds to deliberately make them soft and/or blurry.

Thanks. I often get mixed reactions to the second type of image. I myself once had reservations about such images until I realized that photography is an art like any other art and can encompass almost anything, even if the mainstay is simple recording of images on a sensor or film.

I love the windows shot - reminds me of a science fiction story I read in high school in which a ramshackle building was the gateway to a better world.

I like the window shot a lot.
The swans are well done, just not my cup of tea - I'm just not generally attracted to "digital art" in this vein.

Superb shots! The window shot is great as it has more windows visible through the front window! Amazing swans!
