Posted By: metroeloise, 03-25-2009, 07:54 PM

Just funning around with the recently returned k20d. Love it.

Some random what's in my environment shots.

I was looking for focus tests and over all IQ. I am happy.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Each of these can use better PP treatment. I am learning. Any suggestions welcomed!

They look sharp enough for sure - a little more contrast maybe. Nice series.

Thank you. So am I right now. Going to use it as my first lesson in masking and selective denoiseing. Working the background more creamy.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. In camera? How would you shoot to increase contrast? Do the Settings (k20d in camera contrast, brightness, saturation....) have any effects on raw files? Does Lr look at them to decide how to develop? Or...

Would all of that be done PP?

Thanks All!

Thank you!

So does the camera settings effect how Lr develops a raw file? Will be experimenting with this soon and post my results. After I calibrate my monitor. Spyder 2 on its way to clear up that variable. Ah, out to shoot at night now.
