PPG acceptance
Posted By: kenemore, 03-26-2009, 02:46 PM

I was happily surprised to come home from work today and find that I had a picture accepted in the PPG. I thought I would share it.

Very cool - looks like a jazz chart, out of a fake book, perhaps.

Congrats on a truly unusual photo.

Thanks for all your nice words. The music is indeed a jazz part, but not from a "Real Book".

This is a very nice pic. Great use of depth of field.

And I must say I'm a little(<--total lie) jealous of those headphones.

Yeah... those are nice headphones. I couldn't justify purchasing them myself, so I had work buy them for me

How did you get your work to buy them for you?
Gardo.....One of the ugliest headphones I've ever seen but the sound quality surpass any headphones I've ever heard period!

btw, congrats on making it to ppg. Love the pic.

Grado are nice...I have a set here somewhere. Thing is, pro audio headphones outdo audiophile headphones dollar for dollar... same as with speakers.

So mostly I use my AKGs.

The Grado look fantastic though... especially with the custom wood ends. Not sure how anyone could call them ugly. Great choice for the photo!

I appreciate all the comments.

I'm an audio engineer with an Air Force band... so they let me get all sorts of gear for the recording studio. The Grados are great for hearing every detail (especially all the things that we need to fix). I think they look good too... that mahogany is cool. I took this on a bit of a listening break during a marathon editing session.
