Dragged out the 1000mm and pointed it out the livingroom window.
Getting it ready for better weather.

Considering all the interest in the "stovepipe" perhaps folks will find this interesting.

The 1000mm barlowed to an effective focal length of 2000mm at f/16.
This gives me a magnification of approximately 60x and is as far as I care to push it.
I'm at the limits of both my glass and my tripod at this power.

Taken from living room window into my neighbor's backyard across the street. About 150 feet? Full frame.
