Dragged out the 1000mm and pointed it out the livingroom window.
Getting it ready for better weather.

Just superb! Love those waxwings. I here they sometimes get drunk on berries.

I would not call it attaching the lens to the camera any more. More like attaching a camera to this humongous LBA monster...

Nice pics. also. I like the last one most because the colours are simply wonderful.

With the exception of a few of the Warblers I think the Waxwing is the most beautiful bird in N. America. Very elegant looking.

They do get drunk on fermenting fruit. I've seen them fall off the trees and not able to fly. The worst avian drunk is the Robin. I've seen them so drunk they won't get out of the way of cars on the street.

I really like how with the last photo the colours in the background correspond with the colours of the bird, nice set!

Thanks. I think so too.

Just dumb luck though. I can't say I visualized the pic in the vewfinder that way it just came out that way on the monitor.

Fantastic shots. Mind if I slip a copy of that lens photo into my pack? I could drag it out every time I got to mumbling about what the Bigma weighs......
