Nice.. good point of view, showing the bridge and the city.
shame i thought of doing comparison of my city only after the earth hour .

But it is interesting to think about why so few light dots have changed in city. I mean it wasn't anything that hard (like carrying a fabric shopping bag always with you or using only bicycle as transport), just showing your supporting attitude.
Most of the dots are at the same brightness. Not even dimmer (in case if you HAD to have some light).
I hope that the majority of people just didn't knew, but if they just didn't care? This could indicate that in case of real necessity they could not unite to overcome a problem. And the moment maybe closer than one may think.
What's even funnier that to overcome many of serious global problems (even threats), it would require for people to agree to simple, easy accomplished compromises. But the ignorance to submit just a little can take away everything.
Btw, i could observe the same situation in my town. Street/city lights off, others mostly stayed the same.

What do you think? .

Nice images! Looks like in the background no one else turned their lights off?

I had to look three times to notice the bridge lights off. Nice shots.

ytterbium, I think many didn't know about it. I didn't even know that they started it 2 years ago. Maybe over time, it'll become more public and more will particpate.

Georg, thanks for the comments. There were a few landmarks in the city that turned off the lights such as the GGB, Coit Tower, etc. but overall, the city didn't seem to dim as much. Probably because people didn't know about it. This year was the first time I even read about it.

I would think that San F. would be one place in the U.S., where people might have heard about Earth Hour. But I only learned about it last year.
Good looking shots, hopefully next time even more lights out

Yeah, I happened to glance at a little 'advertisement' about it in the papers. I had never heard about it until then.
