wonderful portrait shots...

I spend so much time playing with my old MF lenses, I forget just how good this lens really is... and in your hands it really shines here.

Isn't 50mm a good focal length to shoot. Great portraits that you have shown here

Beautiful. This is the kind of portrait quality I try to achieve with my FA 50 1.4 and my son. Sadly he's not so interested in the results as I am

I really like your pictures.

Let me first say these are great pictures. Then, since I believe in the virtues of criticism, here's some:

#1 Had you aimed a little more to the bottom right, his hand would be in the picture too. Hands speak.

#4 This one's a bit too dark (not sure if this can be fixed without making the baby's dress look overexposed though).

#5 You captured a great scene, but I think a better composition may have been possible here.

But that notwithstanding, these are some great photo's.

Thanks - Really appreciate that.

#1 I actually cropped of a bit of his hand on pp, to make it a bit tighter and to make the hand take less focus.

#4 It's could actually take nearly one more stop without blowing the dress. Not sure how I missed that.

#5 I tried quite a few different compositions on this one, but ended up taking this one, more or less, straight from the camera. Normally I would have cropped closer, probably taking out half the stair and railing. Or I could have taken out the top and bottom and a bit of the right, making it a landscape with him in the seconds "thirds" line... but the thing is, he's a bit soft and that becomes more clear, when I crop closer ;-)
