A distant pilot station
Posted By: gawan, 03-31-2009, 02:55 PM

This the first and only B&W photo from me that is accepted in to PPG. Another one from this series was rejected, but I think now that the better one got in...

Beautifully moody

A stunning capture Georg... you must have had a soul grin when you saw this in your viewfinder...
Hats off on a very deserving PPG photograph. This is what it is all about.

The fog and the mist really adds a lot of sentiment to the shot

I think this is great. I love the shimmering effect, like heat waves. Great photo

I agree with these comments, superb shot Georg. A 'soul grin', that is a new expression for me, but I think I know what it means. BTW, the image reminds me of a submarine rising out of the water.

"Soul grin"!, Yes, thanks, you brought in to words what I felt when viewing this scene through my Sigma 100-300mm, you could not see this properly with bare eyes, but through 300mm it was a great scene!

Thanks James, I did not even have to pp that much, just some usual adjusting in addition to converting to B&W!

Thank you Thomas! There was a big temperature diofference between the warmer sea and the really crisp and freezy air, which brought those phenomena visible!
