Portrait of my girlfriend

just did some fast shoots of my girlfriend, since she was contacted by a modeling agancy.





and a croped version that went to my renewed web site emfphoto



I wanted to do a bit of Jill Greenberg stile, but not all the way.

light setup..

2 med sized softbox on her side.
1 main light with beautydish in front.. and a silver reflector bellow.

Well done! You obviously have talent and a beautiful girlfriend!

However... I personally do not like the way how women are being photographed as lifeless fashion dolls with perfect skins. It's too artificial for me. But if that's asked by modeling agencies and magazines, who am I to complain? The most important thing is that you both are happy with it and that's what counts.

Very nice but the reflection of your light system in her eyes is a minor distraction.

Hm, "fast", LOL, I think it'd take a few years for me to get even close to that quality! And full time training during!

Love that last shot. I'm all for the "in-ya-face" portrait style.

I think it was the 50-135 used here

And think that I met here when I was testing out new stylist :P

memory lane.. one of the images that came out that night.

Excellent work and well shot in every respect. I do agree with Asahiflex though and like to see some natural texture to the skin but that's the style now, artifical perfection.
