It looks like... film?
Posted By: pingflood, 04-03-2009, 06:04 PM

I was just doing some snapshots inside to test out the 24-105L, and when I reviewed them I noticed this one. I have no idea what happened here, it's just an in-camera jpeg at ISO 800, but it just struck me as so unusually film like. Not sure if it was the combination of light, camera and ISO, or what.. but me likey! (Maybe it's the almost-but-not-really blown highlights?)

Looks like the saturation is right on with just a touch of fine grain noise. Maybe a PP procedure could be set up to replicate this on an ongoing basis.

Very nice image and it does have a "film like" quality to it.
