They look a little dark to me but the first and last ones are standouts. Great lines and mood in the first and a very pleasant and artistic image in the last.

I like 3 and 5.

You've managed to make the statues seem alive... their faces look like they could move at any moment.

Thanks all!

I seem to be always in a hurry. I had just about 45 minutes to spare before I had to get to work so I'm pretty pleased how these came out.

I tried brightening the pics in PP but felt that the sad mood would've been lost (or diminished at least). Maybe I could try to brighten up the statues a bit and and leave the background as it is?

Tell me and I'll delete them, how about this? Just a bit more detail without changing the background.

Very nice, the overall feeling hasn't changed but there is more detail. I'll try this when I get back from work. Thanks for your help!

Nice series. They may be a tad dark as prints but I like fine as-is on the screen.

I just lightened the shadows using Levels.

I like them dark as-is, but if you print it, it will probably be too dark.

What cemetery is this?

A wonderfully somber series... I actually like the dark/mood of the original shots... The first one did not really work for me until I opened it up to the large size, and then it just came alive. Really nice shot that might really look great printed large.

I think you did a fine job on the statue shots... with 3 and 5 standing out. But there is something sadly poetic about that 4th shot... I struggle for the right words.

From what movie/book is this from? Sounds kinda familiar.

a a i b: This is a local cemetary called Kalevankankaan hautausmaa in my home town Tampere (Finland). It was founded in 1880, the chapel seen in the first pic was built 1912.
