just a few quick shots while i was taking a stroll at the park. Nice to see that winter is officially gone.
All pictures were taken with my K10d and DA12-24mm. I just got the 12-24mm as a bday present and wow.....thats all i have to say. Anyone remotely interested in landscape photography should get their hands on it.

thanks for the compliments, the DA12-24mm really makes it effortless. Just frame the shot and shoot. The SMC coating is incredible!

Great pics and beautiful park. Just ordered the 12-24 and can't wait for it to arrive (and take it to Yellowstone in a few weeks)

One of my favorite lenses as well - beuatiful shots - the blossoms against the blue sky very nice.

I almost overlooked this post, but I am glad I didn't. It certainly warms my cold Toronto heart heart to see such wonderful blossoms on this cold blustery day. I particulary like No3 with a wonderful soft glow and shadows. And I also like the variegated colours in No-4, showing off the early colours of spring on the ground, along with the blossoms. BTW, have you noticed that foliage is much easier to photograph in bright or somewhat overcast light- as long as it not completely dark or overcast? Keep an eye out for that light. Wonderful photos. One more, thing, I see spots on your photos, you should get the sensor cleaned.

Thanks for the compliments again. These shots were taken at around 5pm with the sun mostly at my back, except for #2 (i liked how the sun made the leaves glow and cast a shadow matrix on the ground.) Foliage is definitely easier to take with overcast light, but this was not the case that day, mostly clear blue sky. Bright light wouldve made it impossible to photograph the sky and the leaves due to the contrast in lighting conditions, (i think at least....) Yeah my sensor needs to be cleaned as well. The dust removal system on the k10d doesnt work as well as i had hoped. Do most of you use the blower style to remove dust or the sensor wiping method?

I have never touched my sensor and I use a blower to clean it once in a long while. If you can, when changing lenses, hold the camera opening face down so that you can minimize any dust going into the camera.
