Castle Anthrax AKA The Castle of Guy de Lombard AKA Camelot AKA Swamp Castle
Posted By: brkl, 04-09-2009, 10:58 AM

AKA Doune Castle. I've been traveling frantically since my exchange year is about to be over. As a result, I have far more pictures of wonderful Scottish castles most of you would care to see! This one was only one of two castles we visited that day. For most interior shots, I used ISO 1600 and just exposed to the right and let the highlights go. Most at 18mm f3.5 with the kit lens, too. But I think they turned out well.

Lovely shots. I really like the black and white treatment here. The weight of all that stone is somewhat palpable.

"TOSSEZ LE VACHE!" Sorry, couldn't resist.

Thanks! Yeah, I felt like I had to go BW here. The colour versions didn't appeal to me nearly as much, although I anticipated that when shooting.

Great series loved the 4th and the last. The 4th was like a trip back in time with a knight walking through the doorway

Perhaps it is "Fechez la vache" From monty python and the holy grail. When they were at the castle with the french people taunting them the french launched a cow. And said "Fechez la vache"

One of the great movies of all time

edited, because I had always thought it was Tirez for shoot, but I watched a youtube and it was fechez

I think Monty Python's french wasn't up to date. It still doesn't make sense to me.
