Few baby + parents takes
Posted By: Duh_Vinci, 04-12-2007, 04:09 PM

I was over a the friend's house few weeks back, had some coffee, somehow dad mentioned that they would have loved to have some nice "soft focus" pictures of their baby, like they have seen in the studios. I had that 50mm lens with me, so I though would be a good experience for me to attempt to capture the baby, and see what can this lens do in the low light.

My computer crashed soon after (scrap now), but I have my HD restored, so all of the old photos are back (at least from what I can tell)...

C&C always welcome!

Very Good. #2 is exceptional. I am sure they would appreciate a print. Thanks for sharing....you inspired me to mount that lens on my camera.

A really enjoy the FA 50mm 1.4 for indoor baby shots. These are wonderful! Such a soft, dreamy feel... well done!

The third is a great moment. Those really do create an ethereal mood. Well done.

Thanks D for sharing these, glad your hard drive survived. Another reason why I do multiple back ups to different drives. #2 sure will be a crowd pleaser, but I actually like #3 for the expression

Very beautiful pictures
but I think DOF is too narrow. faces should be 100% focused and sharp not only a nose or one side.

Thank you for the kind comments, really appreciate it and very encouraging!

I must agree, on the second one - I do like the photo, and the fact that she smiles (which was not easy, she was cranky that day), I wish that DOF was large enough to include entire face. This lens was entirely new to me at that time, and being rather dark inside the house - this one was shot at f/2.2...

We live, we learn =) Its a great, "non-intimidating" lens well worth every penny!

Thanks again for the comments!

Regards,
D
