Well Daacon, you either need a long focal length or you need to get closer... 300mm
+1.4x is OK but longer would be a lot better. second you need to pick your shots,
take for instance seagulls at a lake, do you want shots in air or just above the
water... whatever you pick you need to be patient and wait for those opportunities
also you need to set your camera up for such shots... I shoot my K20D usually in
aperture priority but sometimes TAv when i don't trust the SR... AF-C, All points
focus... pick the metering mode that works best for you... for me its matrix metering
and i find its either consistently right or consistently wrong so i just use EV
adjustment to compensate, panning and following the subject is a good skill to
develop. don't be afraid to shoot ISO400-ISO1600 outdoors to get the shutter
speed and DOF desired... not much else i can suggest i think
