Hi folks, I ran into this cool mushroom on a hike a couple of weeks back. CC appreciated.
Which one or none.
Thanks for looking.

#3, without question.

#1 is too messy in the back- and foreground, #2 has "pop-up flash" written all over it. The third one, however, is a nice picture.

Just out of curiosity, did you use flash for the last photo?

At first I thought you masked out the bridge, but then I realized it had different elements. I like the second image better because it has better separation between main subject and background. Sometimes this can be accomplished through shallow depth of field, but also through tones and colours. I feel your last image somewhat blends in with the dark grasses and loses its definition.

As everyone has said, it's 3

I think it's a beautifully framed and composed photo.

I only wish you didn't use a flash. Flash photos of nature always seem lose something. They look to stark. I don't have a trick to offer but I'd love to see this shot less flashy.

I'm sure the light was tough and you had no choice but the flash the poor little fella, even though it's still a beautiful shot.

Thanks,
joe

I have to say none I'm afraid. Although having said that, the perspective on #3 gives the mushroom a monumental look. I just don't like the way the horizon is on the same level as the mushroom. I think if you had been a little to the left, it could have been beautiful.

Leave it to me to be the oddball, but I like #1 the best, #3 has too much bright sky (if you could darken the background significantly then #3 would be the choice).

My 2 cents worth,

Ray
