Branson MO. Butterfly Palace 10!!! Large Pics
Posted By: MightyMike, 04-16-2009, 08:38 PM

Well on a recent trip to Branson Missouri I went to the Butterfly Palace as it was
highly recommended by people on this forum...

Well this is how i saw it, in Southern Ontario we have 2 large Butterfly places, so i
have something to rate it against, It was as small as the smallest we have and the
gift shop was larger then the butterfly area, and it costs twice as much as our
comparable sized butterfly conservatory... this put it in line with the larger butterfly
conservatory in terms of price but our larger one is about 3 times larger then this
place. the selection was decent, and the birds weren't anything new but none the
less it was a place to take photos so i did.

Thanks Jimbo... a friend once told me that he doesn't want to do macro again for a few months as he considered it to be a winter thing... well in the winter when there is less to photograph going to indoor locations like greenhouses and butterfly conservatories for macros is common... i guess he had too much over the winter

Great color and compositions. Nicely done Mike. Even though I live reasonably close to Branson, I tend to avoid the tourist scenes. Your photos have sparked my interest though. Thanks for posting.

Thanks.. but if you do go make sure you're prepared to spend a lot for a rather small place
