Nice shots! Where are those statues?

I thought for a sec that the first one was the statue of that dastardly dude, Onate, which stands in front of the unvisited information center up north of Espanola. Nope. Good thing, too, for the Acoma people might have sabotaged the forum!

Haha, well, there are lots of statues to less than morally-pristine people around Santa Fe. Don't get me started on Kit Carson.

This one is just in front of the Courthouse/main post office on the northern end of Paseo de Peralta.

Yeah, the DA 35mm is really a stunning "portrait" lens. Love it a lot.

Definitely #1.

Evening sun (always a good time to take photos) adds a nice glow to the statue.

Lovely sharp lens too.

#2 would have been better with less dof - blurring the background making it less distracting

Yeah, I wasn't exactly entirely pleased with #2, but I wanted to post it anyway to show what the other side of the statue looks like.
