Fog Rolling in through the Golden Gate (Panorama)
Posted By: Damn Brit, 04-18-2009, 09:49 PM

This panorama is comprised of eight exposures, about seven after I cropped out some unwanted elements.
It clearly shows how the fog comes through the Golden Gate and then spreads across the bay.
You can just see the tops of the two towers of the GG bridge poking up through the fog and I was also blessed with a glorious orange sky due to the sun setting.
If you want to study a larger version, it can be found in the gallery (link in my sig).

I'm not sure how you would ever display that print, Gary - but you should! Very, very nicely done.

Love it! Just noticed the sheet of fog rolling over the Marin Co. hills towards the bay. Amazing.

I don't know where you'd get the paper to print it either, Gary.
I figure if I do, it'll be on a roll.

wow, Gary, I looked at the big image in your gallery and it's fantastic! I like the balance
of light between the sky and the artificial lights, and to see the fog rolling in like that...

really well done!
Thanks Tim, I wish I had a bigger monitor so I could look at it.

Good luck buying a frame for that!

Lovely piece of photography, and in all seriousness, it would look great decorating a wall.
What a talking point it would be.
I think I would need to build it rather than buy one. Thanks for your comment.

Looking at your shots of the Bay, I have no doubts about why people love to live in the Bay area so much. Great job, my friend - and a lot of good hard work putting it together.

Jer
Thanks Jer, I like it best when the fog rolls in, it makes the city disappear.

That is right out of a Steven King novel - excellent shot Gary - very cool indeed.
Thanks Dave, now that you mention it, I see where you are coming from.

Well Jim, if I can find someone to print it, I'm going to try. I'll make sure I use a retaining wall.

Thanks Jeff, one day I'll get a good lens to use from them instead of my trusty Tammy 28-300.

According to Elements, it is 286 inches wide by 32 inches tall, does that sound right?

A fine panorama. I view this one as having more detail, with more elements visible than your previous postings. So now you have a collection. You shous do slide show and see how they look in rapid succession. Should look magnificent.
