Fog Rolling in through the Golden Gate (Panorama)
Posted By: Damn Brit, 04-18-2009, 09:49 PM

This panorama is comprised of eight exposures, about seven after I cropped out some unwanted elements.
It clearly shows how the fog comes through the Golden Gate and then spreads across the bay.
You can just see the tops of the two towers of the GG bridge poking up through the fog and I was also blessed with a glorious orange sky due to the sun setting.
If you want to study a larger version, it can be found in the gallery (link in my sig).

this is breathtaking, Gary. say, do you live in Montclair? looks like the view from there perhaps.
i especially like the little fingers of fog creeping down the mountain over by sausalito; that is cool.
well done.

Thanks Jim, yeah I am lucky, I'm too tired to get out to take pictures a lot of the time so that view keeps me sane and my finger on the shutter button.

Thanks Pauly, full version is 37MP so it's pretty big. I don't know how you work out the actual print size from that.

I don't know where you'd get the paper to print it either, Gary.

wow, Gary, I looked at the big image in your gallery and it's fantastic! I like the balance
of light between the sky and the artificial lights, and to see the fog rolling in like that...

really well done!

Good luck buying a frame for that!

Lovely piece of photography, and in all seriousness, it would look great decorating a wall.
What a talking point it would be.

Looking at your shots of the Bay, I have no doubts about why people love to live in the Bay area so much. Great job, my friend - and a lot of good hard work putting it together.
