Ruuuuuuuun to the hills
Posted By: knochelbiter, 04-20-2009, 12:49 PM

Managed to escape the city Easter weekend.

Tried to make it into the mountains as well, but winter still holds sway there and shows no signs of losing her grip... all snow and ice.

A 400mm/5.6 Tele-Takumar landscape. Hand-held, because I am too lazy to put up a tripod.

Still trying to get the hang of this lens. Tough to hold and focus simultanously. Some PP sharpening.

200mm/3.5 Takumar.

I like the sharpening on the robin - and the format has a lot of left to right motion that makes you wonder what is going on to the right - nice

Thanks LenWick. He was watching the right for a hawk that was circling about - it kept him on the ground so I could move in a little closer... after a couple of attempts at hawk pictures I gave up and decided to concentrate on easier prey.
