Recent portraiture

I've been very mute as of late seeing as it's the busy season already for me. Right now I've been doing a wedding every other week, 3 model shoots a week and a random portrait session or event. The sad part is I'm almost done filling my newest 1TB drive and will be in the hunt for another here very shortly with all the shooting and processing I'm doing.

Here are some samples of the latest work that has made it through the current batch of processing and uploading.

BTW, some are K20D images some are D700 and some are D3...

I have one glowing fault in the image that now stands out so I will patch that up soon.

Chris,

Thank you for sharing these. I really like the ones of the oriental lady with the glasses. The second one of her is my favorite.

Awesome collection of work here Chris.
I'm interested in your PP work of the car portraits - #2 in particular.
Would you share how you created that effect from the original?

You're work's stunning as usual.
Thanks for sharing.

I like this series. It strikes me as more subtle and varied overall than all your other posts.

You certainly are growing into your own Chris. I like the car shots - a little heavy PP but would good ad shots. The first few model shots are excellent and I agree with JMR very subtle. Well done and glad to hear business is booming.

#1 & #2 - Like the cars shots

#3 is okay

#4 - Love this shot

#5 - Not really feeling the soft PP on this one

Love the lighting in #6

#7 & #8 - Too much tilt for my liking; like the lighting and PP though

#9 - Looks like he has a headache

#10 looks frightened

#11 looks bored

#12 & 13 - Like the wedding shots. The little girl in #13 is precious.

Chris,
I am curious as to which shots were with D700 if you don't mind saying.

Way overdone the HDR on the first 2.

And I don't like how nearly all of these are tilted.

I don't want to be a downer, but "oriental lady"? Really? Are we still in the 60s here? I think I speak for most Asian Americans when I say the term "oriental" used to describe our people is derogatory. A rug is oriental, not a person. Rant over.

I'm Asian myself, but I'm not so easily offended, especially given the context of Ray's message. However, I would also agree about being careful how you use that word. There remain some old connotations with it.

That being said, I also like the images of the Asian girl.

Thank you everyone... Wasn't looking to start a feud on here but I guess it's one way to make your work more interesting.

I understand how some people just don't like the tilt, but some people do. Guess I'll show some untilted shots that I finished processing.

Chris,

These last three are very nice. Did you desaturate that first one?
