Nice one Jimbo. I hope this is the first of many flower shots from you this spring.

Jim, this is a lovely photo, but IMO i'd crop out the bottom area, it distracts from the beautiful top area of the scene and is a bit messy.

I think a square crop is a little tight from the top edge down, maybe a 4:3 would look nice.

Regards.

Re: Opening Soon

Beautiful shot!

Lovely DOF and colours. Background is very nice and complements the subjects.

No complaints, other than perhaps the framing is a little tight on the left and top. The flower stalks are angled a tad toward the left, so I feel there should be more "room" for them to "lean into the photograph". If this is cropped, try cropping less on those two sides, to improve compositionally. However, if you are 100% satisfied like is now, in which case by all means leave as is. Just a friendly suggestion.

I kind of like the bottom area with leaves.

Fantastic work overall, love macros.

Thanks for the comments and I will look at the crop. I did crop the sides slightly. With the bottom being soft I thought it was ok. Will post your suggestion after I finish. Cheers JIM
