I put a fair amount of work into that B&W conversion - not really the conversion so much as the exposure - the rock was relatively overexposed, not blown out, but the detail was washed out some - It was recoverable in the RAW conversion, but pulling down the highlights killed the contrast in the water, so I created two copies of the shot (in lightroom so it's super easy) and tweaked the exposure for the rock detail in one, and for the water in the other, and then combined 'em using enfuse (single frame HDR I call it
).
