Some 36 years ago my wife and I bought our first home. We felt it was for us after several viewings, and along with the hominess we really liked the age and character of the old place. It is a “century home, 120 yrs old and many of the old doors and fixtures are functional and still in place. It originally was a farm house and built in the Scottish style (16 ft wide 43ft long). It truly has served us well and has been a wonderful place to raise our family. I became interested in doing a series on some of the old knobs; doors and latches as they are in there present state.
