Took a quick getaway to Chicago this past weekend with the wife. First time shooting with center focus and reframing. Previously I would choose the focus point manually. I guess I'm not used to it because alot of the photos came out focused on the wrong thing. Here are the few I really liked:

It was practically raining and gloomy the whole weekend, so that was a bit of a letdown.

Nice shots I was there last year and have a lot of the same shots, and it rained miserably while I there as well haha.

I like your shot of the Sears Tower. The old buildings are nice and nice reflections off what I assume is the bean. The city is really large and offers so much too bad on the weather.

The 2nd shot is me standing directly under the thing.

You have some nice work there, but I really like your rounded mirror, with around the world look and the oval highlights, which I think make this image outstanding. Fantastic!

Thanks for posting these. We're taking our family vacation to Chicago this summer, and I think I'll "steal" your idea of the "self-potrait" using The Bean. Since I usually make it into about 2 of the 200 shots I take on vacation (the saga of the photographer in the family)

this'll give me a way to get all 6 of us in the photo w/o handing the camera to a stranger.
