Does this background compliment or distract from the subject?

Hello,

I took this picture in front of my house. I like it but I wonder what others think: Does the background compliments the picture or is it distracting?

No, it is not my car

In my opinion it´s a compliment if you want to put the car in a situation. A fence and trees means to me is in a good street with mansions with big gardens and swimmming pools. If you wanted to show only the car better to crop as much as possible. Anyway, it´s a car suitable to elite persons who use Pentax like you and me

All-in-all, I lke the shot (I love cars, anyway). Perhaps the white, iron fence is a bit distracting, but - frankly - I'm not sure I would have noticed if you hadn't brought up the potential for distraction. Good job, I think.

Agreed on the white fence being a little distracting. Other than that I think it's a solid shot.

Crop just a little tighter top and bottom but I like the fence because it extends beyond the car and suggests moving forward.

I think the background is fine - I would like to see the shot from a slightly higher perspective though.
