Hammers and Strings

A little concept/project I've been working on sporadically the past month or so. I posted a couple earlier shots in last week's POTW thread; these are the latest. C&C, and ideas, are most welcome.

All shot with Tamron 17-50/2.8 and PP in LR2.

Thanks in advance for the views.

The piano is giving you some great geometric shapes and you are capturing them very well. I like the third and last ones best.

That last shot is pretty cool as you scroll down the page. Nice Ideas for shots. I am still glad I did not help you move that piano! LOL

Thanks Scott. It's proving to be more challenging than I thought. There are soo many angles in the guts of an upright piano it's difficult to "see" the shots that are hidden amongst everything. I have a feeling I'll be spending quite a bit of time with it over the summer.

Tim!!! Yeah if you pull up the full-size of that last one and then roll your mouse wheel up and down you can get dizzy. My back hasn't forgiven you on the piano moving. We gotta get out and go shoot soon, buddy.

Great series

Very nice Jim, the 3rd and the last are my faves... as mentioned, the scroll down on the last one is a trip.

But that third one is beautiful. Framed large on the wall IMHO...

Great photo's, and since you're looking for ideas, maybe a shallower DOF would work on #3.

Seem really good subject to study! I like the last two most, perhaps because they are most abstract!
