K20D Burst Mode - Batter up
Posted By: daacon, 05-02-2009, 11:03 PM

I called our first practice today. Slo-Pich season starts Monday assuming no snow/rain

Here's one of our younger members @bat. We are slowlyy replacing us 'expereinced folks' with our offspring haha.

I was playing around with Burst mode. I will only show the middle 4 , there are 3 shots before this and 4 after. Works well - good for web shots for sure and 4x6 prints.

Even at 1/1000 shutter speed the ball is blurred ....

When you say burst mode is this the 20 fps or the 3 fps?

Nice shots by the way.

Nice series, Dave. I'll have to try burst mode myself sometime.

Jim - I think it would work well for a bird just abouut to take off - or one catching a fish - I would like to try it for wildlife for sure ....

An interesting series. And I think a little blur on the ball is welcome. The human eye does not see that kind of stop-mode action, much like we don't see the frozen faces and waves of surfers before a big wave hits them. I wonder if can use burst mode to see how quickly my kids get up to volunteer for some chores!

haha not quite yet Ivan - I am the oldest on the team (a couple of guys close) - but still play as I love it. We are just setting up for the next generation to play. Two years ago the youngest player was 40 now we have my daughter, my niece , one of her friends and another couples boy playing all under 22 - hey somebody has to drive home after the games

It sure can be Georg - as long as you don't need a 8x10 wall hanging - there are cretainly situations were it is usefull I find.
