Hi,
On saturday I picked up a new DA 55-300mm lens. Haven't had much chance to use it as yet, but got a couple of shots of these colourful guys in a tree down the road.

I believe they are Rainbow Lorikeets, which are apparently often considered a pest here in Western Australia.





My first time really using a telephoto lens, and I found holding it steady and focusing a challenge!

Not so pretty early in the morning when they're feeding close to your bedroom and getting excited about it

Rosella pest? Good colour and beautiful plumage. I love them better than possums!
