Here are three shots each of a couple of Ford sweethearts from the '60's. The first car shown is a big, black '64 Galaxy 500 fastback hardtop with the fairly rare 427 big block with 2x4 bbl carbs; this engine made 425 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque.
The second car is a '69 Mach I (much like the one I bought new in '69). Remarkably, that year a total of
six V-8 engines were available in the Mustang (not counting the Boss 302 and 429 homologation engines); the car shown here is equipped with Ford's big block 390, which had 335 HP if memory serves.
These are the cars of my teens and early twenties, and always enjoy seeing well-restored examples like these.
