First attempt of a panorama
Posted By: Onegaki, 05-04-2009, 08:06 AM

Well, this is my first attempt to panorama.

I don't know how to make the taller? Kind of looks too wide. C&C is appreciated.

Thanks.

Good job, the house on the left looks a little out of level, great color and stitching.

Thanks, although photoshop did the stitching for me.

I did it hand held, so maybe that is why it is not leveled.

Great shot(s) I would be nice if the picture was straight. I think it's possible to do that in a photoshop or in Picasa.

reagards,

Cor

Are you shooting on a hill? Maybe use a shorter lens or turn the camera 90 degrees. Solid shot thought.

Good stitching but as the others have said, it does need straightening.

This was done in a hill. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see a road a the bottom left going down. I was standing on one hill while the house and the other houses were on another. The curve of the hill I am standing on cuts the houses at the bottom right a little bit.

I guess I should have picked a better environment to try out panorama...=P

You can still straighten it, like this; I will remove it at your request.

ah, neat. But the right side looks darker now though. Will that always happen if I try to straighten it?

That may just be because I worked with such a small file. It was more to demonstrate that it could be straightened. BTW, it had nothing to do with where you were standing, it was how level you held the camera. It's easy to move slightly from level when you press the shutter. Some people have also had problems where the focusing screen is not straight. You can check this by using a tripod.
