A few shots from the Zoo (imgs...)
Posted By: frank, 05-06-2009, 08:49 PM

Went to the zoo w/ my kids over the Labor Day weekend, only brought K20D and SMC Takumar 135/2.5 lens w/ me. Here are several quick snaps to share:

Couldn't take as many photos as I wanted when having two little kids around

Cheers!

Nice shots

I've been to that zoo! It's a great zoo. Did you go to the Night Safari as well?
(I couldn't take shots in the Night Safari. WAY Too dark for my kit lenses at the time)

Nice sharp shots, I especially like the first three, thanks for sharing.
Just out of curiosity, were any of these taken though glass, or were these open enclosures?

Thanks We've been to the Zoo alot this year (got family membership for the Zoo since the kids love that place ), but I've never been to the Night Safari yet. Might go there someday when the kids grow up a bit. Now they are still a bit afraid of darkness ...

Thanks. All of these photos were taken w/o a glass in front. The kids can even touch some of those animals, and they especially love touching those Kangaroos

I went to SF zoo about 10 years ago when I was in Irvine (worked there for 1.5 years), very beautiful zoo. My kids would love to see the Pandas. Pity here we don't have one, yet

I really like the first (sharp!) and last one. Very cute how your daughter is ever so slighty holding her little brother's hand.

Nr 2 is really cool. You pressed the shutter button at exactly the right time there.

Nice series. Your zoo looks to be a great place with many good photo opportunities.

I really like the second image. It is quite the juxtaposition of looks. Great shot.
