Here's something you don't see everyday.
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 04-18-2007, 09:21 AM

Well, you guys are photographers so you may see this with regularity, me, I am just starting to open up my eyes. My subject of late is this tree in my back yard that the ladybugs seem to just love to be on, and there are these little flowers on there too. I found this nice little cluster that I got a shot of, and when I took it into PS to get a closer look, I found a cluster of something else.

The expression, "It's such a small world" has been thrown right out the window.

I shot this with the K10D and the kit 18-55mm lens at 55mm with +4, +2 and +1 magnifying rings on.

ladybug lunch

Those little critters are probably what the ladybugs are eating.

Ladybird food! Great photo and proof that the kit lens is rather good. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Nice shots Buddha, now you know why the lady bugs like it so much!

Sorry about you petunias. At first I thought they were baby ladybugs, but I researched and found out they were indeed ladybug lunch.

They look like little green aphids, and lady bugs just love eating aphids. So Sean all you need to do is get Ladybugs for your petunias and other plants that give off a sweet sticky sap and then you won't have to worry about the Petunias being eaten. Or switch flowers

Any way Buddha great shot and don't you just love what you can do with the kit lens?
