Are they all purple? (shows you how much I know about flowers)

What I do know is that the DA35 is a stellar lens!

Very nice capture. I can't help you with the question on flower color. At least you know what kind of flower it is which is more than I would know.

Purple enough for me however I am horticulturally and blue , purple challenged as well but it's a heck of a nice shot.

Nice shot Alan. I'm really starting to covet that lens - it seems like the ultimate everyday lens... I can't stand it when I see a closeup I want to shoot, but I'd have to go get another lens to focus that closely... hmmm....

I am horticulturally challanged as well (and just culturally challanged), but I've got Irises around here that are not purple, so I'd say they come in a variety of colors

Beautifull shot of a wonderfull plant. It's an Iris in deed, and they come in all kinds of colours, varieties and species. We have a yellow one in the wild here in Western Europe.
