Don't you just LOVE that little topknot on their heads. As if their plumage wasn't enough Mother Nature added a designer hairdo topknot!

Good job on the photos for catching a difficult subject....like where to point the camera and how on earth to fit it all on screen.

I tried cropping a peacock photo and then ended up in over-saturation hell during PP. You on the other hand, handled it all very nicely.

No zoo bud. These are privately owned. I think the guy has 3-4. I have spotted them before but never got this close. I just loved the colors so I took the shot. cheers Davey. JIM

Is that the female in the last shot? If so, you did that on purpose, huh?!

I mean, is that a plume on its head or some coincidental grass in the background?

Too funy and yes, I believe that's the female or at least they were together. This is a hard bird to get the colors correct as there are so many different shades and tones to their feathers. I got good light on these and the right background. Thank you for commenting. I think your work is great BTW. JIM
