Melbourne Zombie Shuffle
Posted By: xhanatos, 05-10-2009, 02:52 AM

An intro.. (stolen from Zombies take over Melbourne | Herald Sun)

QuoteQuote:
MELBOURNE was transformed into a real-life horror show today when hundreds of `zombies' hit the streets. The undead brain-munchers were really zombie enthusiasts in make-up, moaning on mass through the city for the annual Zombie Shuffle, organised through Facebook.

It was the fourth time the event has been staged in Melbourne.

About 200 people dressed as zombies ...
Comments most welcome.

All taken with the Pentax K10D and 50-135mm. The rest are on flickr (but not a lot more..): Melbourne Zombie Shuffle 2009 - a set on Flickr

Thanks for looking.

edit: I found two more melbourne zombie groups..

That is great. I love the series. I agree with Dom about #12, I chuckled but that is so wrong.

Thank you.

All shots taken with the 50-135mm and with the combined sneaker zoom, makes for an awesome combination

There were zombie kids and they were having fun. Even random kids (not-zombies) enjoyed it.. which was very SURPRISING. If I saw anything like this as a kid, I would probably scream and run away!!

The major event happens once a year, smaller once during Halloween.

All the 'zombies' meet at a designation point and walk about 3-4kms through Melbourne city.. Scare all the tourists away hehe

I've really enjoyed looking at your photos that you have put up on this site so far and this batch is no exception. Some images are a touch disturbing but i'm all for that.. haha. Great shots.

I particularly like the Essendon dude.

I hope i can capture Melbourne as well as you have been doing when i return home in about a month.

P.S. Have never heard of this event but i will def. source it out next year.
