Jazz During the Day with Sigma 35-135mm and 50mm
Posted By: metroeloise, 05-10-2009, 03:48 PM

Two of these are with the 50mm on my K20D the rest with the Sigma 35-135 3.4-4.5 Macro MF lens. Fun one too! This one is a K mount and so the aperture ring works... It was on my K100DS

1) A fella asked about metering and I was goofing with this one. Into the sun... The 50mm

2) In between sets he walked up to me and told me he was glad I was using Pentax!

3) The next three were my getting use to 135mm... it is an odd length. What were they intended for? SO far I do like the reach and since this one shortens up to 35mm it is useful when I am taking live music shots.

4)

5)

6) The 50mm

7) Like the Sigma and 135mm. I was able to sit away from her a bit and ask if I may take some photos of her. Length got me close without being in her face.

Great shots! I smiled because of your comment on the 135mm length. It's one of my favorite lengths, both for people and nature photos...

Wonderful - I especially dig number 3, the close up shot of a guy's hand on a tenor.

Well yeah. Can see how it is a little tight on crop sensor... Still This one zooms down to 35mm Nice. The Prime stops down to f/2.8, very nice for shows...

Thanks all... Glad #3 works. I like both the old sax and the old hand...
