8 photos during a 15 minute lunch hour
Posted By: dugrant153, 05-11-2009, 09:21 PM

It was one of those busy days and a co-worker told me to go outside and get some fresh air.

So I did.

I took many more than 8 photos, but here are my favorite ones. Amazing what some fresh air, 15 minutes and a Pentax camera can do to a person

These would be great efforts for a day's worth. I especially like the 7th photo, very dreamy.

I think these are excellent, a true cut above. I try to take photos every day in the same way. It keeps me going.

Looks like you made very good use of your short break. 1, 6 and 8 are my faves.

Nice work maximizing your time. 7 and 8 stand out nicely. I love what you're going for in #2, but would prefer it from a lower angle.

I use to marvel at a guy who would drink a Dr. Pepper, eat chocolate doughnuts smoke two cigarettes and pretend to enjoy every bit of it during one of his 15 minute breaks.
I should have been spending my break times with more people like you.

Excellent breaktime photos! Can I ask what kind of post-processing you implemented on #8? I love that photo, the composition and color are very nice.

Wow, thanks for the comments all!!

Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to go and take more pictures during my break. Will have to wait for the rain to go away first!

For #8... that was taken with the DA 35mm Macro (I think...). And actually... there wasn't much processing. I either set the white balance to "Cloudy" or put a warming filter via photo shop. Other than that, just a little bit of contrast and levels adjustment. That's it!
