Budda's from China
Posted By: knumbnutz, 05-12-2009, 07:46 AM

Hi All,

I know there is at least one Budda fan out there, here are a couple images from China, from the pagodas, museum and stone carvings.

Enjoy
Cheers Neil

Beautiful panels and Buddhas.

I really like the fourth image and the last, excellent.

Can I jus' make a suggestion with the last one? How about 'cloning' out the lit storefront and car on the lefthand side, these detract from the pic'.

Also, I think the image will look really cool in B&W, maybe a toned B&W. You could really get some nice B&W tones from this.

Thanks Pauly for the suggestion. These are straight out of the camera as i just added about 500+ to flickr and havent really started processing them yet.
I'll give it a go when i start.

Beautiful collection, Neil. Did you take these with a razor? - they're so sharp. Nice, tight shots.

Thanks Everyone !.

Hi Wombat, Actually some shots are with the 18-55ii and KM and some are the 16-50+K20D.
All were available light shots, no flash.

Buddha is an interesting subject for photography. So many examples and all different. Like portrait photography almost.

Cheers Neil
