Flowers Blue

number 2 has nice composition and detail, of both
the petals and stamen.... the coloration is very pleasing as well...

Very good! The stamen in the first one is OOF, and it's a little distracting to me. On the other hand this photo shows the texture of the petals very well...... All in all: well done, keep them comin'!

I agree the first one is a little off but #2 is a standout. Well done.

Thanks all. I did have the same feeling about the out of focus stamen... I just liked the colours and shapes in the rest of it enough not to let it bother me.

Both were taken with an M 50mm f/1.7, with close up filter attachment. Lighting is from a fluorescent light fitting with four 2ft daylight spectrum tubes in it, that i'm finding very handy for close up work.

On another note, I had a nice surprise when checking back on the exif data (it's been a good month or two since I worked on these). One of the photos was on a tripod a ISO 100. The other, handheld at 1600. I can tell now that I know, but it wasn't even apparent on the prints I had done.
