SR, Pan, Shutter speeds of 1/250th sec or lower if you are good otherwise stick to 1/500th for props and higher for jets, track the plane don't wast shots when its too small in the viewfinder, expose correctly bright sky tends to make for a dark plane so EV+ unless its a white or bright yellow or bright red plane, shoot the sunny side of the plane if possible, shoot with the sun to your back if possible, use a lens hood, burst and use all points focus on AF-C unless its a large transport jet or the plane will fill your frame then single point AF should be fine... if you are using a K10D stick with ISO400 unless absolutely necessary, with the K20D ISO400 but 800 and 1600 will do pretty good too, drop your ISO and stop down to drop your shutter speed for prop blur, 300mm+ F4/F5.6 is likely good for jets and small planes, but the larger the plane the more you'll want to stop down like a big transport plane will do better at F8.0
if its a cloudy day then good luck at getting any spectacular shots
