Few more from this week
Posted By: Jimbo, 05-14-2009, 06:44 PM

I have shot in this area before [Split Seasons was the photo / posted earlier] The weather was not the best but I wanted to try a couple of shots. The other two are form my Heron phoot's this week. It was a little funny to see the Heron sneaking through the brushes. JIM

I'm really enjoying this set Jimbo. The first is richly colored and majestic. I especially like the reflection in the second image. That last one really tickles me. It's amusing but also a really cool shot.

Jim,

The last one is all "wrong" - cluttered with the main subject obscured by visual litter etc.

But it works and it works well. It really captures that intense concentration of a stalking wader. Speaking only for myself this is the way I most often actually see a heron in it's natural habitat.

Your best bird pic to date in my opinion - it is vivid with life.

Nice series Jim. I agree with wildman that last shot is a great one - not sure your best but one the top. What is the green stuff in front of the mountains ? We are suppose to get some of that here soon. Good job - beuatiful country.

Wildman, the way you started out I was worried but in the end you seen what I seen when I took the picture. This is life in the wild and it was so interesting to see the Heron sneaking up to the waters edge. Cheers and thank you for you kind words. JIM
