Lovely Old Racing Car
Posted By: RichardS, 05-16-2009, 12:26 AM

This car lives about 5 minutes walk from me. It's an Aston Martin from about 1937. The owner says that it's still comfortable at 200km/h (on the track, of course) It's also used to do the shopping.

Apart from this car, he's restoring an old Singer and a Fiat Topolino.

Very interesting article. I remember that the owner (I do know his name, BTW ) told me some of the history of the car and how he'd sourced it (found it?) in England. The first photo sort-of looks like this:

which is the shot I had printed and gave to your father. It looks really good in the sepia? version.

By the way, this was taken with my k200D and 50-135 DA* lens. Your K10 has the same sensor as my K200D

Richard.

The C63 ain't perfect, that's for sure...but it's not all about the exhaust note either!
I love my American Muscle cars...favourite would be Dodge Challenger 426 Hemi R/T.....you know the one...in "Vanishing Point" with Barry Newman. But, I can't have one of them...ain't got a couple of mill!!
So...the C63 fulfills the old saying "There's no substitute for cubic inches"!!!....we have the P31 engine which supplies another 22KW....the car is an absolute weapon....the performance simply cannot be used....BUT I LOVE IT.....and perhaps more importantly.......so does wifey!!
Cheers, Pickles.
