Sometimes, sometimes rich coloured events are also nice in B&W....

I really enjoy this, Rense. I like B&W conversions of sunsets and sunrises, and there's something very different about this one - can't put my finger on it. Anyway, great job.

The copying of the treeline by the clouds gives this one something special. Nice shot and conversion.

I think it is better in B&W than in colour, because the colours in the original picture are rather pale. This B&W is more spectacular... Thanks!

Great shot Rense. The clouds seem as sharp as the foreground. The white outline along the clouds definitely adds to this photo.

Any chance of you showing us the colour version?

Cheers.

Hey, mate, lovely shot! As kevinschoenmakers points out, the different layers are what really make it. For my two guilders' worth, I'd crop out a just a little bit of the water, to give more prominence to the details in the treeline and sky. Without anything in the foreground it's easy to feel a bit cut off from the main interest.

You sure love that DA 70/2.4, and you use it so skilfully!

My broadband's been out for a few weeks - only just got it back - so how's your working life project going? Looking forward to seeing some more.

Hi Les, great to hear from you again! And thanks for the kind words!

My project is going OK, but the thread is moved to the Challenges and Games forum. It's getting harder to find interesting subjects to make photos of, mainly because the summer period is very busy at work, and I can't hardly find time to go out to make photos of working men. And if you want to see the photos on black, please visit my Men at Work Gallery.

That's a beautiful shot Rense, I like the way the clouds mimic the trees.

Thank you! The colour version is not much interresting, because the sun was still to high, and the colour is just yellowish. But probably I will add it in the original post
