Random Architectural Shots with DA 15 [9 IMG]
Posted By: Sailor, 05-17-2009, 05:07 PM

We don't have many architectural achievements here in Lake Jackson, so I always end up at the local college to shoot human creations of steel and stone. In a tedious repetition of the past, here I post some more taken with my new DA 15. A couple of days ago, I posted my initial shots with this lens in the Lens Discussion Section, but since I actually like a couple of these pictures, I've stuck this group in the Post Your Photos space. Camera was (and now always is) K20D.

I hope these are useful to those thinking about this little lens.

Jerry:

Seems to be a winner. I like them all, but I especially like #4 & #5.

I only have one comment and it relates to #3. I think the shot would work better if it captured the symmetry and had all the components in balance. Personal opinion only!!

My opinion as well. To be honest, I've shot this scene before with other lenses and wanted to see how my new DA 15 compares. I've got to admit, I didn't even notice this version was off center - I'm in "new lens" mode and processing too many pictures .

I like #1 #2 #3 the best. Good job.

I think B&W is an option with these too. There I go again! :ugh:

I appreciate the kind words, and I think the lens'll be a real gem.

Thanks, my friend, and you must have been reading my mind (or I yours). Here are a couple more converted to B&W.
