Its a really great shot. The OOF area is truly OOF. You have a very handsome little dude there.

Like your other photo of your son i'd really like his whole head in the picture though.

I love this shot - pretty soon, as he gets older (and faster), getting this sort of image will become more difficult - at least it is for an old duffer like me.

Thanks guys.

Jer, different measures will need to be undertaken in future. Traps will be set, bait will be laid and blackmail will be used to its utmost.

Having a 4 and 7 year old... you are way ahead of the game with your planning...
Eventually even the best laid plans and ice cream cones begin to fail... enjoy the time, it goes way too fast!

Love the shot... these moments are exactly why I ended up with a DSLR and some fast glass. You have done well here!

You certainly get close. Excellent. Is that a normal lens, say 35 mm?

Thanks. I used the 16-45mm at the 45mm end.

I worked on this some more. I 'dodged' his eyes a little. Processed in Lightroom 2.

Excellent capture and excellent PP as always.

(I was totally expecting another homeless person by the way. I was shocked at first till someone mentioned it was your son)
