My park outing from last week. First time to capture these two species.

Baltimore Oriole
1/125s, F5.6, ISO400, 300mm

1/220s, F5.6, ISO400, 200mm

Male Cardinal
1/40s, F5.6, ISO400, 220mm (Did not notice that I'm using a slow shutter speed on this one. Just lucky I still got a sharp one)

Female Cardinal
1/200s, F5.6, ISO800, 300mm

All taken with K10D+Sigma 100-300+Sigma 1.4X TC

I'm not normally into bird photography, but I quite like these. Tack-sharp, great colours and kudos for the original pose in #2.

I agree with the colours especially the Oriole, first time for me to see this bird. Thanks for the nice comments.

Thanks for looking Scott. My Blue Jays too were just swept by the Red Sox.

but where are the blue jays?

they should be at the top of the list, considering their standings in MLB.

Maybe I am a little biased living in toronto.

I just hope I'll get one before the summer's end. Who knows, I might be lucky next week. Thanks.
