This is not a paintin'!!

I was in Piccadilly, London today (22/05/09), and visited the Royal Academy of Arts. Outside in the courtyard they had a steel piece of sculpture installed, it was concave on the inside with a brushed steel appearance, and convex on the outside with a mottled, hammered and reflective finish.

This was the reflection of its outside, and you can see part of itself in the reflection too.

Very original, but interesting as a concept only I think. Nonetheless, this is a testament to the variety of photo's you manage to trap behind the shutter every week.

I rather like that a lot, Pauly. That's one of those images that framed up becomes a conversation starter.

I think it's great. Looks like a painting and is more than just interesting as a concept, it is a valid kind of photography.

Thanks all.

This definately is one for my wall. I can afford to print it big as well, no croppin' was involved. I guess any slight showin' of noise (I hate chroma), may give it some impressionist effect too.
